Giclee Prints by Noyes Capehart

Noyes Capehart, in association with Wildflowers Fine Art Publishing, is pleased to announce a new line of twelve giclee prints. For those not familiar withthis process, the following might be of some help:

A giclee (pronounced zhee-clay) print is a reproduction of an original work created by digital imaging and the latest ink-jet printing technology. In producing giclee prints, Wildflowers Fine Art Publishing uses permanent inks on 100% cotton Somerset paper. Both inks and paper are archival, thus giving an image exceptional depth of color. Giclee reproductions are affordable alternatives to owning an original that may no longer be available, or that may be priced beyond a person's budget. Noyes Capehart's giclee prints carry a light-fastness rating of 200+ years, meaning that if appropriate care* is taken in the framing and installation of a giclee print it should not undergo the kind of color changes one usually finds with commerically made offest prints.

* With giclees, as with any original work of art on paper:

  • do not hang in direct sunlight, even if exposure is limited
  • do not hang in areas of high humidty (such as bathrooms)
  • do not subject a giclee to extreme temperature fluctuations
  • do not hang in areas exposed to chemicals or gases
  • always frame with archival materials and UV glass
Noyes Capehart will replace any giclee at no charge within one year of purchase when accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity and the damaged giclee.
