The Vicars Dilemma

Consider the vicar’s dilemma; how to reconcile the matter of spiritual conscience with the lust for earthly treasure.
This picture evolved from an in-progress novel (Acolyte of Darkness) I’ve been working on for the past year, a story about a morally corrupt Episcopal priest. This is not to be taken as an illustration of the priest in the story; rather as an image that reflects something of the feelings I have for the character.
I”m sure that of your many students at ASU you don’t remember me, but looking at your website – all of the paintings, prints and your depth of thought, reminds me of why I fell in love with the arts so many years ago. Thanks you for that passion. I am priviledged to own one of your paintings from many years ago and I have never tired of it, nor have I forgotten you.
